Fr. David Connor

Thanks to all the parishoners of St. Margaret's Lochgilphead, and All Saints Inveraray for your warm welcome. I am absolutely delighted to be your new priest and I look forward to working with you all and getting to know you. I was born in Dunoon, and lived and worked there for some twenty years while running my own business. My business
was a small sub-post office and shop which I ran with the help of my parents. Unfortunately both my parents are dead, they died in the mid-nineties and this was a very difficult time for myself and the rest of the family, but I am fortunate that my faith saw me through this difficult time.

I have one sister in the family named Anne, who is married to my brother in- law Paul, who is an Inspector in the police, and my dear nephew Jack, who is coming up for eleven this year.
Thanks to all the parishoners of St. Margaret's Lochgilphead, and All Saints Inveraray for
your warm welcome. I am absolutely delighted to be your new priest and I look forward to
working with you all.

My studies for the priesthood have been split between four years in Scotus Seminary,
in Bearsden, near Glasgow, and two years in St. Patrick's college in Maynnooth.
I was ordained in July 2011, and so I still have the L-Plates on but I am finding my
feet slowly but surely, with the love and support of the people. I hope this gives
you all a better idea of my background, my family and myself.
Prayerful good wishes, Fr. David.
